Verdant Works Dundee
Verdant Works is a popular visitor attraction which tells the story of Dundee's industrial textile heritage and is located in a beautifully refurbished mill building. Hear the tales of the mill workers and how they lived and worked. Take a step back into a time where the Mills were the heart of Dundee. There are hands on interactives, audio visual shows, computer based multimedia displays, Red Box learning hub and you can see the machines at work. There is also a café and gift shop. Verdant Works is open all year round and is a all weather attraction.
There are a small number of designated free parking spaces available at the side of the building and a small car park. There are ramps throughout the museum wherever there is a change in floor level. There is a lift to the first floor Social History gallery. Wheelchairs are available for loan at no charge. Adapted toilets are available. Due to restrictive width of current doorways access in a large motability scooter to the reception would be difficult. There is a Sennheiser Infared hearing system. Guide dogs, hearing dogs and any other recognised assistance dog can be admitted. Concessions are available and carers enter admission free.
