We’re really pleased to share a positive step forward in reducing our carbon footprint here at Homelands. Thanks to support from Local Energy Scotland solar panels have now been installed across our site, helping us move towards a more sustainable future.

The installation was carried out by local specialists Alba Heat & Power, and we’re delighted to be working with partners who share our commitment to greener energy.

It’s an exciting change for us—and one that will help make a real difference for years to come.

The photos show the panels across our lodges, as well as something a little simpler but just as important—a guest’s washing on a whirligig. The whirligigs were put up last year as part of our ongoing efforts to be more environmentally friendly.

It doesn’t matter how big the step is—what matters is that we keep taking them. Every small change brings us closer to net zero 🌿
