Thanks to previous grant funding, we have built a vibrant programme of community activities including craft and art sessions, gardening groups and a much-loved community café. As a result, our volunteer numbers have grown. Volunteers play a vital role across the café, gardening and community activities. To build on this success and sustain momentum, we creating a new Volunteer Coordinator role.

The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for supporting, developing and growing our volunteer team. This role exists to ensure volunteers feel valued, well-trained and supported, and that their experience at Homelands is positive and rewarding.

Working closely with the small staff team, the postholder will improve volunteer induction, training and communication, and help create meaningful volunteer roles that benefit individuals, our guests and the wider community.

This is a part-time (11.5 hours) role and a one year contract with a potential extension of a further 12 months.
